The Mares Rover 2S in the DIN configuration pairs the compact 2S piston first stage with the Rover second stage. The piston first stage is simple, robust, and light, at 432 g in DIN form, with a sandblasted finish that resists scratching and a dedicated seat for RFID chips.
The Rover second stage uses the patented Vortex Assisted Design combined with the Fluid Dynamic Deflector for natural breathing across the depth range. Its large purge button uses a dynamic hinge that can be pressed with a single finger, and the rubber has been tested past 113,000 venting cycles, which is why this pairing is common in intensive rental use. The first stage carries one high-pressure and four low-pressure ports, and the regulator comes with an 80 cm rubber hose.
