The Suunto MCB packs the core of a professional mirror compass into an ergonomic, floating body at an entry price. Sight through the mirror’s hole and notch for accurate bearings, signal with the mirror in an emergency, and — because the body floats — drop it in a river crossing and it waits for you on the surface.
Inside is the same high-grade steel needle on a jewel bearing in a liquid-filled capsule that steadies Suunto’s bigger compasses, with a fixed declination correction scale, cm and inch rulers on the baseplate, and a detachable lanyard with a built-in emergency whistle. Balanced for the northern hemisphere; made in Finland with a limited lifetime warranty.
